One of the many highly anticipated movies in the DC Extended Universe is the Cyborg solo movie. The producers as well as the actor who was cast revealed some information on the movie, such as the expected release date in 2020, the character’s main struggle to stay human and the robotic suit.
As Cheat Sheet reveals, rookie actor Ray Fisher will be playing Victor Stone, a.k.a Cyborg himself, in his solo movie as well as the future DC movies to come. He first appeared in a brief clip in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in a footage viewed by Wonder Woman.
As for his solo movie, no one else has yet been confirmed to join the cast. But he will be appearing in the upcoming Justice League movie, set for release on Nov. 17, 2017 and in the Flash solo movie as well, which will be released in March 2018 as told by WhatCulture.
The Cyborg solo movie will feature the character’s personal struggles and his main conflict of trying to stay human, as he is half-man, half machine. According to Fisher himself, “His greatest weakness is actually trying not to succumb to the technology. Trying to stay human.”
Another aspect of the upcoming DC movie is the suit. The metal suit that makes up half of Victor Stone. Most of the suit will be done by CGI, at least in the Justice League movie. Fisher will act in a motion capture suit with an orange light attached to his chest and over his eye.
As for the release dates, the solo Cyborg movie is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2020, after the solo Wonder Woman movie, which will be released on June 2, 2017, a few months before the Justice League movie. The Aquaman solo movie is up for release in 2018 and the sequel to the first Justice League movie is expected to release on June 4, 2019.
