Earlier this month, claims broke out that Sylvester Stallone is dead. Fortunately, he is just really busy developing a TV comedy about pizza.
Sylvester Stallone Dead – Hoax
The Rambo star is one of the victims of various celebrity death hoax. According to a fake news, Sylvester Stallone is reported dead due to overdose in prescription pills. However, the rumor was quickly debunked. Stallone, 70, is active on his social media and is even taking playful photos and videos with daughters Sophia and Scarlet.
Pizza Guy, A TV Comedy Show
As reported by Yahoo Sports, a TV show based on the life of Richie Palmer – the owner of the Mulberry Street Pizzeria located in the posh city of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles County. The comedy is titled Pizza Guy and is under development by Stallone.
The show follows the life of Palmer after moving to Beverly Hills from New York decades ago. The plot will mostly focus on the characters – including cameos of high profile customers – that visit the pizzeria. It also presents the irony of America’s famous fast food served to Hollywood’s elite.
Eater says the pizzeria is visited by celebrities – 5o First Dates star Drew Berrymore, The Wrestler’s Mickey Rourke, The Fosters’ Rosie O’Donnell and Oh No Its Kato!’s Kato Kaelin.
Stallone is collaborating with A.J. Benza, a TV host and gossip columnist, who will also pen the show’s pilot episode. Benza revealed that both he and the Rocky star knew Richie for a long time. While talking over the phone, they discussed the pizzeria owner’s life is abundant not only of pizza, but also of stories.
STALLONE’S OTHER PROJECTS
Additionally, Stallone is developing a TV series of The Expendables. The show is based on the popular film franchise of the same title. On top of that, another movie he is working on is Omerta where he also plays the lead role of the mob boss Raymond Apriele.
