Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt News: Johnny Depp ‘Consoled’ Jolie During Divorce

Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt Johnny Depp

Following Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s high-profile divorce, Jolie turns to longtime friend Johnny Depp for support.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp had gotten close in their film The Tourist in 2009. Since then, the two have kept in touch, according to Daily Mail. Jolie even hired the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s divorce lawyer Laura Wasser as he recommended.

A source told The Sun, “Angelina idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set.”

But there is no claim that Depp played a part in Jolie and Pitt’s split.

Depp has recently been in a divorce himself. Amber Heard, Depp’s ex-wife, went to court and filed a divorce along with a temporary restraining order in May. Heard accused Depp of abuse with a bruised face to support her claims.

The ex-couple settled in August 16 and Heard received $7 million, which she donated to a charity. Heard’s restraining order was dismissed in court.

During this upheaval, the Maleficent actress has supported Johnny Depp and now he is returning the favor.

PITT “GOT PHYSICAL” WITH SON

In their flight to Los Angeles a day before Jolie filed divorce, Pitt reportedly got in an altercation. Some sources say this led to Pitt getting physical with his oldest son Maddox.

Jolie has a soft spot with Maddox as him being their first son. It was the breaking point for the 42-year-old actress when Pitt lost it with him.

The Tomb Raider actress has cut ties with Pitt by blocking his number on her phone. This led to Pitt reach out to Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, to act as a peacemaker.

Jolie’s family are also helping in trying to patch the relationship and reach reconciliation.

Jamie Haven, Angelina Jolie’s brother, who also acts as the kids’ nanny, is working along the ex-couple’s marriage counselor to pacify Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s situation. Johnny Depp also comes helpful for previously being in the same situation.
