After the first glimpses of the teaser trailer and cast of the highly anticipated live action film for 2017, Beauty and the Beast, were unveiled, fans are wondering if the actor chosen to play the villainous character of Gaston will do justice to the role.

The Hobbitt and The Girl on the Train actor Luke Evans has laid the matter to rest. He has assured fans that he will be bringing lots of “theatricality” in his performance as the conceited and vain villain who desires to marry Belle, Cinema Blend reported. That should make lots of movie watchers happy.

Taking the directorial helm of the big screen live action version of Beauty and the Beast is Academy Award-winning filmmaker Bill Condon. To date, the crew and production team are still hard at work to create a very realistic movie.

Recently, photographs of the main cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast, which is slated to hit theaters in March 2017, drew the attention of movie buffs.

Emma Watson embodies perfection as Belle, while Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens was deemed the most suitable actor to portray the Beast/Prince in the live-action adaptation of the classic fairytale.

The actual shooting of the live action feature film wrapped up months ago. Ewan McGregor, who tackles the role of the the talking candelabra Lumière, disclosed that the film will be mainly animated. Josh Gad, who lent life to Olaf in Frozen, portrays LeFou, the bumbling sidekick of Gaston.

Live action films like The Jungle Book, Maleficent and Cinderella were crafted beautifully and were well-received by Disney movie fans. Leave it to Disney to unravel the world of Beauty and the Beast 2017 in a nicely surprising way. As 2016 comes to a halt, the moviegoing public is excited with what Condon, the cast and crew will be able to offer as summer comes around.
