`Thor: Ragnarok’ Director Taika Waititi Says 3rd Film is Different: `Think Crazy’

Thor: Ragnarok Plot Leak

Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi recently disclosed at a recent Reddit AMA forum that he is focused on making one awesome movie. Hence, he has opted to ignore for now the rest of the Marvel cinematic universe.

The wisecracking director took time off his busy schedule and even tweeted ahead of schedule that he would be taking part in the Reddit AMA forum.

The takeaway message was that not all Marvel films must connect to other movies in the making. There are, of course, blockbuster movies like Thor: The Dark World that had intriguing endings, so viewers must be shown what happens next.

All eyes will be on how things will turn out for the characters played, in particular, by Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth. In the previous film, Loki was seen ready to rule Asgard. Hiddleston revealed in an interview a few months ago that the experience of being on Earth may have changed Loki.

Waititi revealed that he made an effort to ignore the other Thor movies. The expected outcome is that Thor 3 will stand on its own and appeal to movie buffs. Thor 3’s tone will be different. “Think crazy,” Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi teased.

Asked if Thor: Ragnarok will meld seamlessly with the previous two films, Waititi said in lighthearted manner that it will be a nice addition to the Taika Waititi box-set. The Hunt for the Wilderpeople director also stated that Thor: Ragnarok will be one of the most `out there’ and most adventurous among all the Marvel flicks. It’s a crazy movie.

Queried about how he feels about working with an impressive cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, and Anthony Hopkins,  Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi replied that it was “amazing” and called the Hollywwod celebrities “gold” as well as “funny, beautiful people.” Hemsworth, Hiddleston and the rest of the cast are a zany bunch who played pranks on each other during their downtime.
