Priyanka Chopra Insulted by Ellen DeGeneres? Talk Show Host’s Rude Remarks Spark Fans’ Outrage

Priyanka Chopra is no stranger to insults, even admitting once herself that she felt like an outsider in most of the places she go to. Recently, the latest slew of humiliation supposedly came, unexpectedly, in the form of veteran TV host Ellen DeGeneres, who might have angered some of the Quantico star’s fans, be the insulting comments it intended or not.

Priyanka Chopra appeared in the very popular The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she and Ellen DeGeneres talked about her current Hollywood Fame. At one point, DeGeneres jokingly remarked how Chopra could win the Miss World “with that hand wave.” She is referring to 2000’s Miss World pageant title, which the Indian actress won. Apparently, she compared Chopra’s hand waving to someone “unscrewing a light bulb.”

DeGeneres also added the rather innocuous remark of Hollywood being excited for her because she is “beautiful and can act,” to which Chopra replied, “That doesn’t happen.” The talk show host continued, saying that things like that do happen, and she was just complimenting the actress “as she should.”

Now, it should be noted that DeGeneres and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in general, is a very light-hearted show, and it is common for the host and her guests throw some jokes around. Maybe even Chopra herself took none of the remarks seriously and is even seen giggling at some of them. However, some fans of Chopra still thought that DeGeneres remarks were simply “rude.”

This was not the first time the Quantico star got insulted publicly, as far as her fans are concerned. One of her then co-stars, Kangana Raut, once implied in a talk show that Chopra has the “most fake laugh” she had ever seen.

Priyanka Chopra recently caught the Internet’s attention when she wore a shirt for a travel magazine, which a lot of people on social media find very degrading. She apologized for it since, and said that she or the magazine responsible did not intend to offend anyone.
