Benicio del Toro’s involvement in Star Wars: Episode 8 has raised some questions among the fans, and possible plot spoilers say that there is a chance that he is going to play an anti-hero.
An anti-hero? How? In what way?
A character that is an anti-hero is neither good nor bad, and possible plot spoilers for Star Wars: Episode 8 suggest that Benicio del Toro’s character would belong to another group entirely. A small group that dislikes the First Order but also dislikes the Resistance, and his character is its leader.
Should these plot spoilers for Star Wars: Episode 8 prove to be true, then fans can expect that Benicio del Toro’s character could likely turn on the Resistance and take over the First Order. His character could also pair up with the Resistance and annihilate the First Order, either way, anything goes for his possible anti-hero character.
If Benicio del Toro’s character takes over the First Order with his group, then he will likely become the villain by Episode 9…or not.
del Toro has previously played anti-heroes and he has also played bad guys as well, so this character is right up his alley.
Previously, fans speculated that Benicio del Toro might be playing one of the villains in Star Wars: Episode 8, and might have more screen time than Kylo Ren. However, that theory might not be true, as during an interview, Benicio del Toro remained mysterious as to which side his character might be.
“If they want to believe it’s the villain, then good,” the actor stated.
Apart from theories regarding del Toro’s character in Star Wars: Episode 8, Rey’s mysterious parentage is also another thing that has fans scratching their heads. There are also rumors about a new kind of stormtrooper to march for the First Order and the return of the Empire Stormtroopers.
Star Wars: Episode 8 premieres on December 15, 2017.
