Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch and James Corden are two British actors who can bring sunshine to households everywhere and snap many people out of their post-election doldrums. What is amazing about the two celebrities is how they have made utmost use of their vocal chords for both film projects and advertising campaigns.
Benedict is known for immersing himself in the role of Smaug, the dragon in The Hobbit movies. Fans who loved him in Docor Strange were happy to hear he will also appear in Avengers: Infinity War with other established actors.
Some questions crop up on audiences’ minds when watching these gifted British actors stun, whether they are cracking gags and offering lighthearted entertainment, or voicing festive adverts. Where do they get their inspiration? When not appearing on talk shows and social media videos or voicing interesting characters for films, what do they do on their days off?
AS BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH REAPS BOX-OFFICE SUCCESS, JAMES CORDEN SNAGS PETER RABBIT ROLE
Still reeling from the box-office success of Doctor Strange, Benedict spends quality time with his family. Fatherhood, the Sherlock actor said, has changed him in a positive way. Benedict has a son named Christopher with wife, theatre director Sophie Hunter, and they are expecting baby number two. James Corden, who is set to lend his voice to the big screen adaptation of the classic children’s tales of Peter Rabbit, likewise spends time with his family. Peter Rabbit will not hit cinemas yet anytime soon.
In the meantime, James engages people this holiday season with a cinematic musical number for Sainsbury’s Christmas advert. He showcases his voice talent in the new television ad that he retweeted a few days ago.
James sings the ditty in the Christmas advert. Breaking out into songs is nothing new for the talk show host, having sang with music chart-topping celebrities like Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Adele and several others on The Late Late Show. He was also part of the cast of Into the Woods, with Anna Kendrik, Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and other Hollywood stars. He also tackled the role of Biggie in Trolls.
James Corden also recently tweeted a video featuring himself and Benedict Cumberbatch, whom he engages in pretend play, to relate a tale suited for kids that explains the 2016 election and pitted Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton. The video underscored the sexy voice of the Doctor Strange actor.
