‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Rey Theories, Spoilers: Is She of Royal Lineage?

Star Wars: Episode 8, Theories on Rey

The release of Star Wars: Episode 8 is many months away but this early, movie buffs are counting how many more shuteye or winks before they see a teaser or official trailer. Star Wars fanatics emit a burning passion and energy, forming theories on how things will play out for the leading characters introduced in The Force Awakens, particularly Rey and Finn.

Since Rey and Finn’s collective debut in the big-budget film franchise, all sorts of speculations have floated around not only about the character that Daisy Ridley plays but also about Finn, Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, and some new additions to the upcoming film. One of the recent theories shared is that Rey may possibly have royal parentage.

A Reddit theory shared by an avid Star Wars follower took off from the scenes of Han Solo, who was transporting three octopus-like creatures called rathars to King Prana. When he was confronted by members of the criminal organizations and seemed like in a tight fix, Rey and Finn came out of hiding.

Elaborating the Star Wars: Episode 8 Theories on Rey

The Star Wars fan theorized that some of the monarchs must have survived the Imperial regime. It is possible that Rey may have descended from a royal family, from a planet unknown to the audience, a homeworld that the First Order wiped them out.  The assumption is that some Royal guards who escaped with the young Rey could have left her on Jakku to ensure her safety.

Last year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced Rey as a scavenger left on the remote desert planet of Jakku when she was just a child. Her parentage was unclear, but theories have spread that her roots will have a significant impact on the wider Star Wars universe, which will unravel in Star Wars: Episode 8.

Going Beyond the Star Wars: Episode 8 Theories & Knowing the Actress

Star Wars: Episode 8 Director Rian Johnson recently posted on her Twitter page that Daisy is amazing, and many of her online followers agreed. One fan/writer tweeted back that she loves the entire cast, “especially Adam Driver.”

J.J. Abrams, The Force Awakens director, admitted recently he had pangs of regret in opting out of future Star Wars movies, particularly since he would not get to say “Action!” anymore to Daisy Ridley,

The other possibility also tossed around along with other Star Wars: Episode 8 theories on Rey is that she may be related to either Obi-Wan Kenobi or Luke Skywalker. Rey’s linkage to Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker makes her a symbol of hope. Her adventure will continue to unravel in the next installment of the huge franchise, thrilling movie buffs no end.
