Is Clint Eastwood dead? Stunned fans were left heartbroken upon hearing that the beloved actor and director has passed away. However, it appears that the Academy Award-winning director is just another victim added to the long string of celebrity death hoaxes.

According to reports, a Facebook page suddenly popped out with the title “R.I.P. Clint Eastwood” which quickly gained likes. On the page’s About section, a message was written that accounts the detail of the 86-year-old actor’s passing that made many believe that the news is authentic.

The page gave details on the time and date of Clint Eastwood’s passing, allegedly. According to the page, Clint Eastwood died on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at around 11 AM ET. The page also encouraged fans to “show their sympathy and condolences” through “commenting and liking” on the page.

While many immediately believed the rumor and wrote messages of grief on the page, others were more skeptical this time. Some pointed out that if the news is true, international news media would surely report that Clint Eastwood is dead yet none came up.

It is not new for celebrity death hoaxes to surface out of nowhere that are quickly proliferated on social media. Many have become its victims just recently, such as Angelina Jolie, Sylvester Stallone, Jaden Smith and more.

To clear the air, a representative for the actor broke their silence and confirmed that Clint Eastwood is alive and well. They said Clint Eastwood is only “victimized by the hoax” and they even advised the public to “stop believing what you see on the internet.”

Fans were angered over the rumor as reports that claim Clint Eastwood is dead should not be treated as a joke. Looking on the lighter side, what many can get from this death hoax is that a lot of fans continue to love and care for the Million Dollar Baby director.
