Every move of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has been wildly analyzed by the media ever since their highly-talked about divorce last September made headlines. As the A-list Hollywood couple separate due to “irreconcilable differences,” a battle of who will be taking the children ensued. The World War Z actor allegedly chose to concede this time.
When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt chose to walk different paths, it became inevitable for their children to be with only one parent at some point. The 42-year-old actress pushed for a sole custody of their six kids, 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, when she filed for divorce from Brad. As for Brad Pitt, he wanted a joint custody.
Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie Custody Battle
Latest news suggests, however, that the 52-year-old actor is not pushing for a custody battle at this time as he wants to give the children time. Brad Pitt reportedly wants “whatever is best for their well-being.” Moreover, the children appeared like they do not want to live with him at this point in time, says reports, and they are “of the age when their opinions matter.”
This follows the “disappointing” Thanksgiving that Brad Pitt spent sans the kids. Many speculations surfaced – like Angelina Jolie not inviting him, and that the Maleficent actress canceled on Brad’s visit at the last minute, or, it might actually be the children’s say.
Children Chose not to be With Brad on Thanksgiving?
We already know that Brad Pitt did not spend Thanksgiving with their six children. Allegedly, it was because the children “did not request” to be with the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actor for the holiday. With that, the actor might not want to press anything on the children as of the moment.
It might not be such a bad celebration for Brad Pitt as he reportedly spent the day in a luxurious island resort in the Turks and Caicos with male friends, although it was cut short as he expected to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with the kids.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt and the children did have “better” visits care of the Department of Child and Family Services while all six kids are living with Angelina Jolie since the ex-couple’s divorce.
