Mariah Carey Sends Holiday Cheer in ‘All I Want for Christmas’ Carpool Karaoke With James Corden

Mariah Carey’s hit Christmas song has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts. She was a recent guest in James Corden’s `Carpool Karaoke’ that also featured other big names in the music industry.

What happens when some of the most loved musicians belt out an all-time favorite Christmas song? When The Late Late Show host James Corden had Mariah Carey on his Carpool Karaoke as featured guest and they go for a quick spin around the block, the video cuts in to an assemblage of Corden’s previous guest stars who  continue singing All I Want for Christmas. In the end, everyone had a blast.

British funnyman had a bevy of famous singers on his show, including Adele, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Cris Martin, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gwen Stefani, and Elton John. When James had them all belting out their best rendition of Mariah’s popular Christmas song and placed them in one episode, the result was simply amazing. Mariah wrote and produced the hit song in November 1994, but it continues to be loved by many people today. The song re-entered and continues to climb up the Billboard Hot 100 chart this December.

It turned out James had been working the past several months of 2016 to come up with a perfect holiday gift that will send good cheer  and delight audiences everywhere.  Many loved the Carpool Karaoke episode that featured the various celebrities. In fact, it garnered over 14 million likes on YouTube. Mariah tweeted her gratitude and added as hastag her fan community, saying “Thank you for helping me celebrate my favorite holiday.”

When it comes to celebrating Christmas, it just will not be complete without the songs that we have come to love or grew up hearing. One Christmas album that continues to be strong is Mariah’s Merry Christmas album.

The singer behind the best-selling album continues to be busy these days with shows. The price of fame is that everyone seems to have demands and expectations, prompting the singing superstar to turn to social media to express her angsts. As Mariah tweeted recently, “Everybody wants to see `their’ version of Mariah…the sexy Mariah, the sincere Mariah…. at the end of the day, I have to be ME.” Her followers tweeted back their undying support and one even expressed that the celebrity singer is a “gift to music.”
