Jaden Smith dead? Death hoax reports

Jaden Smith is dead?

Many fans of the Karate Kid actor were devastated. Some of them even sending their condolences to the Smith family, after hearing the news through an article on Facebook.

Fans easily believed the post – thinking it is from a reliable source. An article found on Facebook, claimed to be a “CNN news update” circulated around social media, led sympathizing fans to quickly hit the share button, which resulted to more people seeing the post. The alleged cause of his “death” was suicide because of family reasons and rumors on his sexuality.

But, again, it is disproved as a hoax by Hoax-Slayer.

According to snopes.com, in order for people to read the article, a pop up message will appear asking for permission to post on the reader’s profile. After giving permission, the user will be directed to a scam website with articles of the news that, when clicked, further on leads to links that makes the user download harmful software. This is a strategy commonly used to lure unsuspecting users to be a victim of virus and malware software.

Despite the news, Jaden Smith is doing really fine.

The 18-year-old’s social and career life is definitely not dead, though. He has been busy going out with girlfriend Sarah Snyder. He recently released a music video of a song titled Like This with Rich The Kid, which he co-directed.

He went to Drake’s concert with friends Miley Cyrus, who was also recently involved in a death hoax, and Liam Hemsworth. He attended the 2016 New York Fashion Week with girlfriend Snyder, members of Black Eyed Peas, and Juicy J among others.

Jaden Smith is not the only victim of celebrities reported dead. Some of the actors who are also involved in the fake-death news recently are Angelina Jolie, Sylvester Stallone and Miley Cyrus.
