The spoilers for the latest episode of The Young and the Restless have hinted at Adam’s return. Michael Muhney’s comments confirm that yes, he will be coming back to the show as Adam Newman.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, a lot of changes both on-screen and off camera have been happening as while actors are making their entrances and exits, even the show’s producers are changing. Jill Farren Phelps, who was rumored to be the one responsible for his exit on the show was fired and Chuck Pratt Jr. has also moved on to becoming a producer for another show. As actor Justin Hartley, who also played Adam Newman, moved on from the show to do other projects, it is only a matter of time before they bring Muhney back. Him and Hartley were the show’s fan favorites, loving both of their portrayals as Victor’s son.
The spoilers for the latest episode of The Young and the Restless, also by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, have revealed that Ian Ward is responsible for staging Adam’s death. Adam may have been an accomplice to his plan, but Ian is starting to feel otherwise and instead holds him hostage. Whether or not his revenge plan succeeds all the way is unclear, but one thing is certain: Ian now hates Adam just as much as he hates Victor.
Adam’s return to The Young and the Restless may be able to reveal much more about what he and Ian have in mind. Now that Sally Sussman Molina is the show’s new head writer and Mal Young is the show’s new producer, the two of them are determined to begin their run right. Welcoming Muhney back would be a good start.
More spoilers to come; so it is best to stay tuned for more updates.
The Young and the Restless airs Mondays to Fridays on CBS.
