The Land of Untold Stories and Storybrooke will come together in Season 6 of Once Upon a Time. Spoilers suggest that Mr. Hyde’s primary goal will be explored further as well as Regina facing off with her alter ego.
In the previous season, Mr. Hyde took over the land of Storybrooke and brought in the characters from the Land of Untold Stories. According to the spoilers on Us Weekly, one of the central plots in this season is being able to tell the stories of the characters from the Land of Untold Stories. Among those new characters are the Count of Monte Cristo and Captain Nemo.
In an interview with TV Line, the show’s creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz explain that the reason why Storybrooke is important to Dr. Jekyll’s alter ego is because he wants to see his own story play out. The residents of Storybrooke are trying to find their happy endings and Hyde wants that as well.
Another spoiler for Once Upon a Time Season 6 suggests that Regina is going to be facing her worst enemy: herself. Specifically, the Evil Queen. The Queen had survived Regina’s attempt at killing her and is set on taking revenge.
Regina’s main conflict is also one of the show’s themes in Season 6. Kitsis and Horowitz explain that the show will delve into the concept of a person having both good and bad sides to them. Just like how villains can have a good side to them, the heroes also have their dark sides. Whether Regina will be able to take down her alter ego remains to be seen.
Once Upon a Time Season 6 airs Sundays on ABC.
