Angelina Jolie is still on board in being a visiting professor for the London School of Economics in 2017, teaching programs for women, peace and security.
The esteemed academic institution announced last May that Angelina Jolie will be one of the four visiting professors assigned to the program “dedicated to developing strategies to promote gender equality and enhance women’s economic, social and political participation and security.”
A spokesperson of the school ratified Jolie is still on board to teach and that her post will start on September 2017. She is expected to “give guest lectures, participate and workshop and public events, and continue research on projects” in the school’s Centre for Women, Peace and Security, confirmed by People Magazine.
Applications for the new masters’ program focused on women, peace and security will begin this fall, as per InStyle. The program is not only going to be taught in London, but also at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security in the U.S.
William Hauge, Britain’s former foreign secretary, is also part of the visiting professors. Hague and Jolie launched the school’s Centre for Women, Peace and Security in February 2015. The both of them also co-founded Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative.
The Maleficent actress is not letting her divorce with Brad Pitt halt her prior plans for her career.
The 42-year-old actress is currently under public eye because of her recent split with estranged husband and World War Z actor Brad Pitt. Jolie and Pitt were together for twelve years and was married for two years.
Last September 19, Jolie filed a divorce ending their marriage with sole physical custody allowing visitation rights of their six kids: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
Pitt is ready to go on a legal war for joint custody, but he is still under investigation for allegations of child abuse following an altercation that happened during the family’s flight from France to California.
All six kids are with Angelina Jolie in their rented Los Angeles mansion at the moment.
