To celebrate Gilmoreversary, the first day Gilmore Girls aired, a coffee shop in Jacksonville will serve as Luke’s mini diner.
Sippers Coffeehouse, one of 250 coffee shops in the U.S. to host the event, teamed up with Netflix to be branded as Luke’s diner. On Oct. 5, they will be serving 250 cups of coffee for free from 7 A.M. to noon, as per ActionNewsJax.com.
As a refresher, Luke’s diner is a place where the people of Stars Hollow always go to eat. It is owned by Luke Danes.
Lorelai and Rory are always seen eating in this diner – in almost every episode of the show. Thus, this restaurant is significant to the lives of the characters in Gilmore Girls.
Meanwhile, the Gilmore Girls revival is coming close to its premiere date. Titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, the revival consists of four 90-minute episodes.
Each episode covers a season of the year titled Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Gilmore Girls is set in 2016, which means it will jump off to the present day eight years after the finale in 2007.
Some of the spoilers so far includes the change of Rory’s career path. Her field “changed dramatically” after newspapers were going away when she was only starting to get up with her journalism career.
There are also spoilers that Luke and Lorelai may rekindle their romance. Scott Patterson who plays Luke Danes revealed there is “definitely some fireworks” going on for the two. He also confessed the revival will delve into “darker places” which has never been done before in the show.
Rory’s romance will also be visited. Spoilers for Gilmore Girls revival reveals the show will resolve where Dean, Jess and Logan stands in Rory’s life.
Much to the fans’ delight, every cast in the show will be returning. The only one who will not return is Edward Hermann, according to Cosmopolitan.com. He died last year and Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai, says the revival will be a tribute for the late actor.
Gilmore Girls revival will drop all four episodes on Netlix on Nov. 25, 2016.
