Director Joachim Rønning showed his gratitude to fans by releasing Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie poster. The poster shows Captain Jack Sparrow with a bounty on his head.
Pirates of the Caribbean recently released its first teaser that was watched by millions and positively received by fans. The movie’s director, Rønning, thanked the fans by posting Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie poster on his Instagram.
He says he is grateful for the enthusiasm and comment by fans. He also adds that he was reminded of why he “loves making movies” and why he specifically wanted to create the latest installment to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
In the latest news regarding the Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales movie poster, the one posted by the director is different from the one seen in the trailer, according to MovieWeb.
In the trailer, the poster features Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) whole body standing on the dock. On the other hand, the poster posted by Rønning shows an artistic rendition of Sparrow’s face. The poster is seen with Sparrow dubbed as “the notorious pirate” with a bounty on his head.
Working with Rønning for the film is Espen Sandberg, who is known for Bandidas (2008) and Kon-Tiki (2012). Both of them will helm from a script by Catch Me if You Can‘s (2002) Jeff Nathanson.
When news surfaced regarding the fifth installment of the franchise, some fans were skeptical at first as the last two movies was not critically well-praised. After the first teaser though, fans are reassured that the movie’s clever idiosyncrasy is back which was a miss from the former installments.
There are also news that Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann’s (Keira Knightley) son will star in the latest movie played by Brenton Thwaites, although it is yet to be confirmed.
Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales will start its voyage to the big screen on May 26, 2017.
