Big changes are not only happening on screen but behind the scenes as well for General Hospital. Spoilers suggest that Billy Miller might be leaving the show to be replaced by Steve Burton to play Jason Morgan.
According to General Hospital spoilers, Billy Miller’s time on General Hospital might be limited as his contract with ABC expires October and there is no news so far of him renewing it. There were rumors that went around in September saying that Miller signed on for another year but it might turn out to be false.
There are many possible reasons as to why Miller has not asked for a contract extension just yet. More General Hospital spoilers hint that maybe he is busy auditioning for more projects outside of the show. It could also be because of the growing ensemble cast that General Hospital has, the show’s budget could only get him for two weeks at a time. However, seeing as Miller is getting a more limited amount of screentime might suggest that the actor is already planning his exit from the show.
Another set of General Hospital spoilers reveal that Miller might be replaced by Steve Burton. It makes sense as Burton’s contract with The Young and the Restless is set to expire in December and therefore making him available for another soap opera gig. Miller and Burton have always been compared by fans as to who played Jason Morgan better. Some considered Burton to be the real Jason while others loved Miller because they were also fans of his character in The Young and the Restless.
In any case, all the viewers can do is to wait and see if Miller is really exiting the show and if Burton is going to return.
General Hospital airs Mondays to Fridays on ABC.
