Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale has recently announced that they will be selling their old home. Once “home, sweet home” for the former rocker couple, the two decided to part ways with the mansion and sell it for $35 million.
They first acquired the property back in August 2006. At the time, the house was situated on Beverly Hills was bought for $13.25 million.
The house also boasts seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, all within its 11,645 square feet area. While the décor was created by Kelly Weastler, the motifs inside the home exhibit more of Gwen Stefani’s funky, quirky tastes. These include “serpentine” sofas, a fireplace made of black marble, and walls striped in black and white.
On the outside, there is also an infinity edge swimming pool and a lighted tennis court. They did not skim on the outdoor amenities as well, as there is a kitchen, playground and even a chicken coop. A separate guest house is also present for those visiting and deciding to stay over.
Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani met back in 1995, when her former band, No Doubt, opened for Rossdale’s band Bush. The two exchanged vows and their marriage lasted for 13 years. They had three kids, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
Last year, the two eventually decided to part ways; however, their divorce was finalized just earlier this year.
While Rossdale was once requested by Stefani to help coach her team for The Voice, she has been happily dating country singer and fellow judge Blake Shelton now. Shelton and Stefani are happily anticipating their first anniversary, which will be in about a month.
Both Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani have decided against signing a prenup when they got married. As it stands, the money from the sale of the $35-million-mansion will be evenly divided between the two.
