Quentin Tarantino for ‘Deadpool 2’; Tim Miller’s Exit From Project Results in Petition

The shocking announcement of Tim Miller’s departure from Deadpool 2 leaves the production without a director. Fans put up a petition asking for Quentin Tarantino to come on board as director.

With Deadpool 2 lacking a director, fans decided to take matters into their own hands and started a petition to get Quentin Tarantino on board to direct Deadpool 2. Carl Champion Jr., who started the petition that already has nearly 10,700 signatures, explained the reason as to why Quentin Tarantino would be a good fit for directing Deadpool 2. Champion explained that if Tarantino is at the helm, then the movie is going to be a surefire box office hit.

A part of the petition’s description reads, “Imagine having a guy like Tarantino write dialogue for The Merc with a Mouth! It would be so glorious. Join me!”

According to others, the downside of having Quentin Tarantino direct Deadpool 2 would be of his tendency to make lengthy movies and mix genres together. Those things would become a hindrance to telling a Deadpool story.

However, Champion cleared up that issue by saying that the best superhero movies do tend to blend genres very well, which is what makes them good. Champion even cited various superhero movies and TV shows that have mixed genres; Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Dark Knight, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Deadpool does seem like a superhero movie that Quentin Tarantino would do, with the same elements that makes a Tarantino movie. Champion further explains that if Tarantino and star Ryan Reynolds sit down and talk about ideas for Deadpool 2, they would love what each of them have in mind.

Previously, it was announced and confirmed that Deadpool 2 director Tim Miller will no longer be working on the sequel. Miller ended up leaving the project due to creative differences with Reynolds.

In the meantime, Deadpool 2 is still looking for its Cable and Domino with many actors and actresses in talks to play Wade Wilson’s fellow mutant friends.
