The intergalactic misfits that captured our hearts are back. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be hitting cinemas summer of 2017, but this early, enticing shots of Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot have thrilled avid fans no end.
Guardians of the Galaxy fanatics are now rooting for their favorite characters. Among the interestingly vibrant and lovable characters that will wend their way to the big screen anew is extraterrestrial tree monster Groot, voiced by Vin Diesel. When the actor posted a photograph of Groot on his Instagram account a few weeks back, it created a stir. As many online followers wrote, “We love Groot.”
In the original flick, movie watchers saw Groot perishing to save the film’s heroes. The film concluded with Rocket recovering a twig from Groot. How it regrows into a miniature Groot from the sprig is presented in the recently released trailer and stills of the new movie.
Director James Gunn stated in interviews that he will also be bringing female characters to the forefront. Hence, expect one of Hollywood’s most-watched actresses today, Zoe Saldana, to shine even more as Gamora. Gunn also hinted to the press how Gamora, Nebula, and Mantis will figure in some major action on the big screen.
Shots of Star-Lord in the teaser suggest that he may figure in another iconic moment in the Marvel cinematic universe together with Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and the rest of the team. Joining Chris Pratt, Saldana, and Diesel in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 are Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a film which struck a chord in many viewers across the world for its humor and upbeat music. Almost all the characters in the original flick did not act like they were in a science fiction film. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is expected not to deviate much from such refreshing approach. Shaking things up more, apart from Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon are new characters that include Russell as Ego the Living Planet. The sequel is touted to present many human-centered/family issues.
