The recent report that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have formally split up caught many of their fans by surprise. The long-married celebrity couple’s actions belie the news.
During his birthday last October, Urban tweeted Kidman, “Best birthday EVER!!! Love u baby” alongside a chocolate birthday cake, making some online followers state that it was “pretty cool.” The New Zealand-born Australian country music singer-songwriter and the Academy award-winning actress seemed far from being on the verge of a break-up.
Interestingly, Urban also posted on social media a few months ago an unofficial music video for his song, The Fighter, that includes his beautiful wife. The song, nominated for “Song of the Year” in the upcoming Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards, has the line “you’re gonna see that I was born to love you” which may have been inspired by Kidman.
Indeed, the report that couple has been leading separate lives is untrue, if sources close to the couple are to be believed. Detractors keep saying that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s relationship is headed downhill, and have opted for a trial separation. Tongue-waggers have even cited “behind-the-scenes infighting and jealousy” which seem to be baseless. It will be noted that it is not the first time unpleasant tabloid news about the A-list couple’s impending “divorce” was publicized.
Another news that was circulated stated that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s young daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret had gotten wind of scandalous stories on the internet about their mom and dad being involved with other celebrities. It was debunked since it turned out to be false reporting. To date, all seems fine on the home front. The Academy Award-winning actress recently had an emotional reunion in the U.K. with her and Tom Cruise’s adopted daughter Isabella, now 23 and married.
