Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 star Caterina Scorsone welcomes her baby girl and shows off her first photo on the day of U.S. Election 2016. Along with it, she revealed whose side she is on.
Caterina and husband Rob Giles welcomes their new bundle of joy as they share her photo for the first time to the public. The baby girl, named Paloma Michaela Giles, joins the family and older sister Eliza.
Caterina’s baby bump was noticed at around August; and while she did not deny the pregnancy, Caterina made it clear that she wants her pregnancy to be kept private. With that, she kept the baby’s gender secret at the time.
However, Caterina is without a doubt proud of her baby’s gender.
During Election Day, she shared a photo of baby girl Paloma while showing support to Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. Caterina joins the long roster of celebrities showing support to the female candidate.
On Instagram, she captioned her photo with, “I’m with her.” Simultaneously, she also announced and introduced her baby to the world.
“The future is female,” Caterina concludes her caption.
But we know the U.S. Election 2016 results are out and Donald Trump has emerged as the victor. That is not to say that everyone is exuberant with the news though. Many citizens, including Hollywood’s A-list celebrities including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Kesha, Eva Longaria, Katy Perry, Lena Dunham, Cher and Chris Evans, have expressed their disappointment with the results on social media.
Meanwhile, Caterina currently stars in Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 as Dr. Amelia Shepherd. Even though her real-life pregnancy is not going to be embodied on the show, a recent episode hinted her character having a pregnancy scare.
The family grows bigger as her co-star Camilla Luddington and her husband Matt Alan are also expecting their first baby on 2017. The two have been together for a long time already and they are excited to have an addition to their family.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 airs Thursdays on ABC.
