Old flames tend to find each other again in Genoa City. Huge The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor and Ashley will revisit their old romance, and Sally Sussman reveals what will happen to Adam Newman (for now, probably).
As everyone already knows, Victor and Ashley were a thing. The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that it seems highly likely that they will revisit their romance in a future episode.
Nikki will feel threatened that Ashley is back in Victor’s life, being the one whom Victor fell in love with and had his child. Ashley is also still alive, compared to Hope.
However, despite the reviving romance between Ashley and Victor, it is known by everyone that Victor and Nikki are and always will be together.
Victor and Ashley’s romance resulted in Abby, who symbolizes what was the best part of their relationship. Abby is also on good terms with Nikki, a relationship that will stand as collateral damage should Victor and Ashley hook up again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that should Victor and Ashley go at it again, then it is possible for Nikki to reunite with an old flame as well. Everyone’s bets are on Neil, as Neil helped Nikki overcome her alcoholism.
It is possible that Jack and Nikki could reconnect as well, should Jack really move on from Phyllis. If Jack steps up for Nikki, then his once dangerous sibling rivalry will Ashley could come up again, knowing how much he hates Victor.
Meanwhile, incoming head writer Sally Sussman has officially given Adam the axe. In an interview talking about what she plans on doing with the show, Sussman stated that she, along with everyone else, “needs real emotion. Real heartache. Again, we need honest characters.”
As for Adam, Sussman stated that Adam is off the show, and neither will Justin Hartley who previously played the character. “He’s too successful now. He’s gone.” she says.
Sussman started her career on The Young and the Restless under its creator William J. Bell, so it is understandable that she wants to bring the show back to its former glory. Fans will have to trust what Sussman plans on doing despite protests of wanting to bring Adam back or a recast.
The Young and the Restless airs Mondays to Fridays on CBS.
