Hawkeye Joins ‘Avengers: Infinity War’; Jeremy Renner Braces For 2 Major Films

Avengers: Infinity War, Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner is looking excitedly at 2017 given two major films that will have him play key roles. One of them is `Avengers: Infinity War’ where he will reprise his role as Hawkeye.

Taking on the role of the Marvel Comic character Hawkeye was a pivotal point in the film career of Jeremy Renner. Hawkeye joins the rest of the gang in the big Marvel cinematic universe in the highly anticipated film Avengers: Infinity War.

The actor, who has gotten the critics’ nod of approval for earlier films including The Hurt Locker and The Town, will have his hands full in the coming months. Apart from playing master archer, pilot and marksman, who was also trained in hand-to-hand combat and martial arts in the Marvel flicks, he is also looking forward to working anew with Tom Cruise and/or team in Mission: Impossible 6.

Jeremy is noted for his portrayal of IMF Field Operations Director in Mission: Impossible films. In the next installment of the action film, the possibility for Jeremy to play something more than “a glorified cameo” is huge.  For now, the actor expressed his hopes that the film will get going.

The rough patch may be in terms of conflict in filming schedules. In an interview, Jeremy surmised that Avengers, which he foresees as a “long, long fun run with a big group of people,” will be eating up a lot of time in the coming year. He expressed hopes that it will not preclude him from getting back together with Tom Cruise and the gang for Mission: Impossible 6.

Both Avengers: Infinity War and Mission: Impossible 6 had high-grossing predecessors. The two upcoming big projects are expected to give the Arrival actor moments to shine.

As for his role as the military astrophysicist who gets to team up with Amy Adams’ character in the well-received film Arrival, Jeremy said he had an emotional connection with the film. It was a serious film that had a deep message, yet it resonated with audiences. Interestingly, Jeremy shared that in approaching a character, his entry point is a sense of humor.

In the Marvel universe, Jeremy’s character Hawkeye/Clint Barton has undergone numerous team-ups and adventures. With weaponry that includes bows, semi-automatic handgun by Heckler & Koch, Remington 700PSS sniper rifle plus other defense and attack gears, Hawkeye may prove to be a useful addition to the Marvel heroes when they battle a formidable opponent in Avengers: Infinity War.
