British fashion designers Jenny Packham, Lee Alexander McQueen, and Giles Deacon are in the running for the coveted task of designing the wedding gown of Kate Middleton’s younger sister Pippa Middleton.

Days after Deacon was spotted leaving the Middleton family home in London toting a large garment bag, news spread asking if Kate Middleton’s younger sister will be wearing his design for her altar date with James Matthews in 2017. Pippa or her mother, who was around during Deacon’s visit, have yet to confirm if the British fashion designer, who was honored with Best New Designer at London Fashion Week years back, was the “chosen one.”

Deacon has worked for fashion houses like Gucci and Bottega Veneta before branching out with his own label, GILES. He is noted for his statement gowns for celebrities that include Hollywood actresses. Deacon’s Instagram posts have consisted of several design inspiration. He captioned one post showing an image of Elizabeth I as “research day.”

Even lifestyle and fashion magazines have been publishing features on designers who may be considered to dress up the royal bridal entourage. ELLE Magazine tweeted if Giles Deacon will be designing Pippa’s wedding dress.

In terms of choosing wedding details (and buckling down to the more important post-wedding matters), Kate Middleton and Prince William can very well show Pippa Middleton and hubby how it is done.

Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen wedding gown was custom-made under the watchful eye of creative director Sarah Burton. Pippa Middleton’s simple but sleek maid of honor dress, that did not go unnoticed, was also by McQueen.

While wedding preparations for Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa go full gear, rumors of royal conflict keep being churned out by gossip mongers. One headline insinuated that Kate Middleton was feeling “disgusted” at the way Pippa Middleton was using Royal connections to get VIP treatment from topnotch fashion designers.

Another news dragged Queen Elizabeth into the picture, stating she got upset about reports about Pippa Middleton’s fiancé’s brother posing in undergarments during London Fashion Week, reportedly prompting her to ban Kate Middleton from attending the upcoming wedding. At the end of the day, though, royal watchers may be tuning out the negative vibes and hearsay, and simply just awaiting, with bated breath, for the momentous occasion to unfold.
