Tesla CEO Elon Musk proudly unveiled their upcoming car model last March 2016 in Hawthorne, California. From their very first electric car the Tesla Roadster in 2008, to Tesla Model S and Model X in 2012, the company has developed a new electric vehicle, the Tesla Model 3.
During the event where Tesla Motors unveiled Model 3, Elon Musk announced that the starting price for the car is at $35,000 before incentives. The CEO also showed the new electric vehicles in three different colors, Red, Silver and Gray. He further announced that on the night 158,000 people already have reservations for the Model 3. He also said and the figure is still growing by the day.
Tesla Model 3 is a premium sedan at a very affordable price. It offers the best safety features and was designed to achieve 5-star Safety Ratings. The electric vehicle can also go as far as 215 miles of range per charge. In addition to that, it also has the supercharging capability like the Tesla Roadster as well as the Model S and Model X. Moreover, Model 3 has auto-pilot hardware and a seating capacity of five adults.
Tesla Model 3 Reservations A Lot Greater than Expected?
As of time of writing, there were reports saying that Tesla already has over 373,000 reservations for the Model 3, which was seen as a huge problem for the company regarding servicing because they have limited service centers in the United States. They added that the automaker had issues servicing Model S and Model X already, and will likely face even more difficulties, what with more consumers expected to buy Tesla sedans in the next few years.
Tesla Motors is a company that produces electric vehicles and was founded in 2003 in Silicon Valley, California. The CEO of the company, Elon Musk, mentioned that their cars can do better than gasoline-powered cars and their products have incredible power and zero harmful emissions.
