Just last week, Gwen Stefani was reported to have plans creating a new album to get revenge on Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton’s ex-wife. Alleged sources close to the couple said that for an upcoming album, Stefani wrote some very personal songs directly pertaining to the 33-year-old Lambert.
According to the source, Stefani did not like the fact that Lambert’s songs were all about her heartaches and divorce drama so she wrote tracks about a woman who gives up so easily— just like how Miranda Lambert gave up and got a divorce with Blake Shelton so fast. In addition to this, the No Doubt singer came to the realization that Lambert’s newest album is a direct shot at her and her boyfriend’s romantic relationship.
Gwen Stefani Envies Miranda Lambert Album Performance?
Other sources said that Stefani is doing all of these because she is envious of Lambert’s successful album launch. It was all over the news that the couple, Stefani and Blake Shelton, has been promoting their albums respectively and working so hard with their “showmance” to the public, but were not getting enough sales to date.
Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert has been refusing any interviews. The source said that Lambert’s album speaks for itself and, according to the singer, there is no need for any press release. For several weeks now, her album The Weight of These Wings has never left the top of the charts even without doing promotions.
Still, reports persist saying that Lambert is singing about her heartaches and divorce because she is hurt with her ex-husband’s public display of affection towards Stefani. On the other hand, the No Doubt singer thinks that Lambert should stop using her songs to tell people about her heartaches.
Blake Shelton remains to be a judge for season 11 of the hit singing contest The Voice. He is joined by fellow singers Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys.
