Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine Documentary to Feature Eminem Discovery, “Beats”
In addition to this, Director Allen Hughes will include the duo’s success with Aftermath Records in which they discover the rapper Eminem. It will also chronicle what they started two years ago, when Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine ventured in electronics with the famous “Beats” headphones — which net them $3 billion when it was later bought by the Apple Company.
Last year, Dr. Dre helped produce the acclaimed N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, and was able to launch his very first album Compton in the decade or so that passed in silence.
It is clear that the pair has worked hard to reach what they have right now, and The Defiant Ones will appear to try and portray the story of that success.
