The road to being crowned as the next Miss Universe 2016 gets closer with these six girls as the Miss Universe Top 6 is officially unveiled. And they now enter the most nerve-wracking event of the competition: getting into the question-and-answer portion.

Miss Universe Top 6

  • France
  • Kenya
  • Colombia
  • Philippines
  • Thailand
  • Haiti

The Top 13, instead of the usual 12, were chosen based on their performance during the three days of preliminary events which included interviews, global online fan voting, the swimsuit presentation and the evening gown competition.

They were then trimmed down to nine remaining girls who scored best on the average scores both from the judges and the global fan votes. And after surviving into the top six, only three candidates will remain to fight for the crown of the 65th Miss Universe and present their final look.

Held in Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will crown her successor on her hometown. The roster of judges includes Leila Lopes, Cynthia Bailey, Mickey Boardman, Francine LeFrak and former titleholders Sushmita Sen and Dayanara Torres. They will reportedly look for a strong female role-model among the women.

Boyz II Men and Flo Rida will also serenade the girls through their performances. Meanwhile, Ashley Graham and Steve Harvey, who made the mistake of announcing the Miss Universe winner wrong in last year’s competition, hosts the event.

What will Miss Universe Get?

Aside from the tiara, sash, and international recognition, there will be a lot in store for the Miss Universe 2016 as the prize package comes with the many-splendored thing with it. The crowned winner will get a year-long salary for her duties, a luxury apartment in New York City, all-expense-paid global trips, and living expenses as well.

She will also be represented by WME IMG, one of the world’s most well-known talent agencies. The representation will include invitations to movie premieres, fashion week, casting and career opportunities and fashion week.

But most especially, the Miss Universe will spend her time focusing on philanthropy in the duration of her reign. And one of these Miss Universe Top 6 will soon be the one to raise awareness and funds for many charities and organizations around the world.
