The 59th annual Grammy Awards will unravel on February 12 in Staples Center, Los Angeles. A stellar lineup of musical artists that include Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Adele, and many others are set to wow audiences.

Like Adele, who is slated to both perform and vie for top honors, multiple Grammy winner Bruno Mars will once again mesmerize fans when he brings his vocal swagger and cool attitude to the stage of the prestigious awards event.

Mars is crisscrossing the globe beginning late March to promote his third studio album 24K Magic.  Before that, he just may reap honors with Adele since he co-produced 25.

Adele will face off with Beyonce for the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance awards categories.  American radio and television personality and former hip-hop artist Mike Adam just tweeted that Adele leads the best-selling female artists that sold the most albums this millennium, with 57,300,000 sold. That feat may be recognized anew at the Grammy Awards 2017.

Old & New Nominated Artists

Rihanna is likewise a strong contender, having worked really hard  the past year, earning eight Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (with Drake) for Work. Her former flame, Drake, was nominated for Album of the Year for Views, as well as for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for Hotline Bling, among others.

Both new and established singers were thrilled to learn about their nominations last month. Kelly Clarkson tweeted her delight and excitement on being nominated, saying “Can’t believe it?! So honored to be nominated with such a talented group of artists!”

Ariana Grande likwise wrote on her Instagram account that she felt “an absolute blessing to be recognized for Dangerous Woman. She was nominated for  Best Pop Solo Performance and also for Best Pop Vocal Album alongside such popular artists as Demi Lovato (Confident), Sia (This is Acting), Justin Bieber (Purpose) and Adele (25).

Comedian Amy Schumer got  her first two Grammy nominations this year, including Best Comedy Album for her Live at the Apollo performance and Best Spoken-Word Album for the recording of her audiobook for The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo.  The Chainsmokers gets to vie for the Best New Artist award for its breakthrough recording in the past year, while Coldplay (Up & Up) pits talents with celebrated artists for Best Music Video.

Indeed, the upcoming Grammy Awards is bound to be one astounding celebration of music in various forms, as the spotlight is cast on the best vocal talents.   Some  of the other performers at Grammy Awards 2017 are Carrie Underwood, John Legend and Keith Urban, and Metallica.
