The Passion Project
The American comedy-drama miniseries series Big Little Lies that premieres this February on HBO consists of seven episodes under the directorial helm of Jean-Marc Vallée. The series creator is David Kelley, who is known for such television hits as Ally McBeal, Picket Fences, The Practice, Chicago Hope, among others.
Like Nicole Kidman, Reese acted in and served as executive producer of the new series with a juicy plot twist. The series is about the tragic fallout of secrets in a small town. The Wild actress essays the role of fast-talking, multitasking mother of two, while Nicole plays a complicated character Celeste Wright.
Some of the artists joining Reese and tinseltown’s finest actresses in Big Little Lies are Alexander Skarsgård and Adam Scott. Big Little Lies is based on the book of the same name penned by Australian author Liane Moriarty.
The book has been described as a “fluffy” one that balances humor with more serious issues like domestic abuse, infidelity, and bullying. Nicole stated that the creative people behind the miniseries were true to the essence of the book.
Reese Witherspoon’s career has been flying high for some time now. Her family was with her when she graced the premiere event of Sing at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
